bobimt's Journal We got on our Wranglers and boots tonight for the Country Music Awards! Cheesey of Riley but cute! My little Cowboy! It is amazing to me how busy things are and how fast time is going by now with two kids. I find that I am not taking as many pictures or video of Bailey and Riley for that matter. So here are some updates as Bailey is about to be 4 months old tomorrow. I weighted her a few days ago and she was 15 lbs. This puts her now ahead of where Riley was at that age. That is another pound this month for those of you wondering. She is a very happy little girl for the most part. She is still only pooping once a week or so, but it doesn't seem to bother her much until the last day. She loves to play in the exersaucer and this last week has discovered her hands can pick up or grab at things. Still not much control, but it is so fun to watch her. She loves to take showers with Daddy, as does Riley. This is one of Rob's favorite things and also since we don't have a bathtub, makes bathtime easier for me. Riley still just loves his baths/showers and would stay in there all day I think if I let him. Anytime I decide to take a shower, he has to join me even if he has already just taken one with Daddy. Too funny! Bailey is still a great napper during the day for the most part and we are still working on the nighttime sleeping. I can usually get her to go for a 6 hour stretch every night. She is becoming quite the talker and she even will sing along with you as Grandpa does so often to settle her down. Riley is still my active little 2 year old. His favorite thing is still cars and trucks, with his favorite movie being "Cars". We are now done with the bottle for him. I got rid of it on October 22nd and though he still will ask for it, when I tell him, "No, but you can have milk in a cup" he just says okay. Three of his four teeth he has been working on have now popped through. I told Rob last night that they look like fangs instead of teeth right now. Still slowly working on potty training. I take him regularly throughout the day and hopefully one of these days it will click with him. As for Rob and I we are doing well. Rob has been working on the chicken coop the last few weeks. We got chicks a week or so ago so the pressure is on to get it done. Riley loves to go out and see the chicks. You just can't let him hold or touch them to much cause his "love" is a little tough for them. I am finally done with the painting project at my parents. Just a couple of doors left that need to be painted, but they might have to wait until the spring. We are still living with Rob's parents, which is going great for those of you wondering. It will be 2 years in February. We are still saving our money with the hope of building our own house out here someday. I didn't ever imagine myself living like this, but it has been great and everyone enjoys eachother. Well, that is an update on the Charette's! Her is our pretty girl on the 7th. I will have to take some pictures of her and Riley tomorrow to get up on here! It has been good to be home this week. I finished painting at my parents last weekend and have just spent the week at home with the kids. Bailey is a happy little girl despite the fact that she has taken to pooping every 3-4 days. Yesterday she was definatly uncomfortable and finally she pooped last night after and enima given by daddy. We are going to start giving her a bottle with some Flax oil and digestive enzymes to help move things along. I have started giving her a bottle of breast milk every day to get her use to eating from a bottle too. She loves being talked to and will just coo back at you with big smiles. She thinks Riley is funny and just smiles at him. Today she was in the exersaucer and Riley was playing with his cars on it. She just sat there and smiled at him. She is discovering her hands and was watching as she kept touching one of Riley's cars with her hand. Riley is at such a fun age now! He loves to sit and play with his cars. His favorites being from the Cars movie. He still suprises me every day with what he can say. Last night being the questiong, "What?" after his dad told him to do something. I just laughed at that one as Rob repeated himself. He is still working on his teeth, 4 are coming in at once. They don't seem to bother him too bad other than he has runny poops about 3 times a day. Yuck for me! The joys of motherhood and changing diapers. We are still working on the potty training though. Her are some pictures from this after noon! Tough love from Riley: A few nights ago Riley was giving Bailey hugs when all the sudden he grabs her around the neck and falls backwards taking Bailey with him because Rob didn't want him to hurt her more. Too much wrestling with daddy I guess. Needless to say Bailey didn't like that! Just a short little update! I weighed Bailey this evening and she is 14lbs 1oz. That is over 1lb since her appt. last month. She also had her first laugh today. Nana was talking to her and making noises and she laughed at her. Very cute! Hopefully we can get it on video sometime soon too! Our little girl is 3 months old today! Bailey Grace has been such a happy little girl. She will just smile and coo at you and is on the verge of laughing. She is her happiest right after she has her tummy filled. We love our little fluffy girl! I have really been working on getting her to sleep for longer periods at night with most nights being successful at 5-6 hour stretches. She is still my ravenous girl during the day with wanting to eat every 2 hours, but she usually will make it to 3 hours. She is usually only up for an hour or so after she eats and then sleeps for 1-2 hours after that. Riley just loves his little sister and he likes to sit on the couch and hold her. The poor guy has been sick the last few weeks which has turned into a nasty cough this last week. He is also teething with 4 eye teeth coming in at once. So some of the sickness could be from that. He still surprises me every day with new words or phrases I didn't know he could say. With my favorite as of late being, "Mommy I miss you" when I come home after being gone. He is just a sweet little boy! Once I am finally done painting at my moms and we are back to a normal schedule, I am going to work on the potty training thing again. As it is now he will go pee in the potty if you take him, but he doesn't ask to go. Still no poopy in the potty though. Well, here are some cute pics of the kiddos! 3 Months old today! Bailey and Riley on the 7th Me and my pretty girl yesterday! Riley had his 2 year old check up and Bailey had her 2 month check up on Monday. They both are doing great! Riley weights 27 lbs and is 35 1/4 inches. He is in the 35-40th percentile for weight and in the 75th percentile for height. Bailey is now 12lbs 11oz and 22 1/4 inches. She is in the 90th percentile for weight and the 50th for height. She is a little bit more fluff to her than Riley did! Bailey did have a little bit of an ear infection, but the Dr. thought it should clear up on its own. This week has been a little different of the last few weeks. I have been painting the outside of my parents house since Labor Day weekend. We are on the home stretch now. I started off painting on Monday, but discovered Tuesday morning that I had mastitis again. Not fun! By late morning I had all the flu symptoms to go along with the sore breast. Wednesday I felt a little better, with the flu symptoms being gone. By Thursday I was almost back to normal and back in town to paint part of the day. I was able to get rid of the mastitis with cabbage leaves and colloidal silver this time. I don't know why I am getting it so soon this time?!? We will be doing some painting this weekend, but my little sis and her hubby are in town so I am not sure how much. Mom and I are both anxious to have this painting project over with! Here are some 2 year pictures of the boy and some pictures of his trip to the zoo/firestation with Auntie Nicole last Saturday! Montana Zoo Hunter, Riley, Lydia, Crystal, Taylor and Jason Riley loved the otters!! After the zoo they went to visit Mike at the Firestation and got to sit in the truck and even ride around the block in the firetruck! My little boy turned 2 on Monday! I can't believe that two years has gone by already since he was born. We had a quick party for him at Pioneer Park on Monday evening. Riley loves to play in the park! I made him a "Wonder Pets" cake. He had a great time with everyone and got a lot of fun gifts. His favorite of the evening was a remote control car from the Riley's and the Kroft's. The girls and him ended up chasing the car around the park the rest of the evening. The rest of the presents he got to open and play with yesterday morning. He spent the morning watching the Wonder Pets and playing with his new Wonder Pets toys. Here are some pictures of the party!!! The cake Presents! Riley enjoyed playing at the park! Bailey Grace turned 2 months today! I will say it again, my how time flies by when you have two little ones at home. She is really filling out nicely. She has lots of rolls now! I call her my little "chunker dunker". When I weighted her last week on the 3rd, she was 11 lbs 5 oz. I am sure she is up to 12 by now. We will find out for sure at her 2 month check up this next week. She has kind of turned into a little spoiled girl that wants to be held when ever she is awake. And if you don't meet her demands she can turn it on in three seconds flat, with a high pitched cry. She is also a ravenous girl that wants to eat every two hours. I still stretch her out to three, but it makes that third hour an interesting one. She is doing a little better at night with at least one longer stretch that last 4-6 hours. (The 6 hour one was a first last night) Now if I could just get to bed right away or get her to do that stretch later like from 10-4, that would be wonderful! This last week we have been in town at my parents house while Rob was hunting in the Little Belts. I started painting the outside of my parent's house last weekend and hopefully by tomorrow night will have two sides done. It is a slow process when you are a one woman crew that has to stop to feed a little girl every three hours. Mom is watching the kids and helping when she can get them to both sleep at the same time. But between a demanding little girl and a very busy boy, she has her hands full. Riley has kept her on her toes this last week. He has managed to find everything in her house that he shouldn't have, including a full jar of vaseline that ended up on him from head to toe and everything else that happened to be around him in papa's office, in just 5 mins.! He is just so busy!!! Gotta love him though. He has been having fun watching videos here. Cars is his new movie to watch, along with Bob the Builder and of course Wonder Pets. He is getting so cute now and singing along with the songs of what ever video is playing and dancing too. I need to get it on video. He is also quite the talker with more words and phrases now than I can even remember. He surprised me tonight with "butterfly". I didn't even know he knew that one. He hasn't been feeling too good this last week, which we are thinking it is teething. He has had diarrhea, a low grade fever and been a little whiny. We are going to be staying in town a while longer while I try to finish my parent's house. Rob made it home today. It wasn't a very successful hunting trip, but he said him and Steve had lots of fun riding their motorcycles on the trails. He missed me and the kids a lot and almost came home a couple of days early because of it. It is good to have him home. Well, here are some new pictures and a video! My little princess is 2 months old tonight! "chunker dunkers" Happy girl! - 09.09.09 Riley found Taryn's goggles at her party on the 5th Riley was providing dinner music for all his cousins at the party. All partied out! Here are some fun pictures from Hunter's 11th Birthday party up outside of Red Lodge. They went camping for the weekend and we went up and met them for Hunter's birthday on the 14th. Riley "helping" Uncle Mike put up the canopy. Notice the rope tied around his waist. This was to keep him from falling down into Rock Creek. Riley loved going on the 4-wheeler. Here he is (in a posed shot) with Hunter, Auntie Casidee and Taylor Her are all the girls! Hunter and all the party goers! Here all the rest of the announcement pictures for you to see since I have gotten most of them sent out. I am still amazed at how fast the time goes by when you have kids. Bailey is now 6 weeks old and she weights in at 10lbs 7oz. She is still a sleepy girl and sleeps most of the day away. At night she usually goes one to two 3 hour stretches in between feedings and then it is every 2 hours. She is usually ready by 2 hours but I try to stretch her out to 3. She is a good little eater! Her bottom is doing much better after a change in what we were doing last week. I went to book club last Saturday and got some great advice from the girls on what I was using and how to do it better. It is almost all gone. Last Saturday morning she gave me her first smiles while I was talking to her. She is also starting to talk back to you when you talk to her. Here is the video of her smiles, ignore the funny sounds coming from the mommy to get her to smile! Riley is a man on the move still. He keeps me so busy! I weighed him last night and he still weights just 26lbs. I need to see if I can measure him to see how tall he is, cause he seems bigger to me. It is so fun to watch how much of a daddy's boy he is becoming. He loves to spend time with Rob outside in our camper, on the motorcycle or what ever dad is doing. He has been coming up to me lately to give me hugs and kisses without me asking for them, which just melts the mommy's heart. He has been sick this last week and unfortunately passed his cold on to me. I have been sick since Thursday with a nasty head cold. I also think that I might have mastitis again. It is hard to tell for sure cause I have been sick so the flu like symptoms could be just that. But I definately do have one sore breast! I have been doing some home remedies this time and so far it doesn't seem to be as bad. Hopefully they will clear it up without antibiotics. I was really hoping to stay clear of that this time around. I am feeling a little better today so I am hoping I am on the mend. Riley seems to be feeling better too although he has been a little more whinny than usual. I will chalk it up to being sick and hope it isn't a sign of things to come. Well, that is an update on the last couple of weeks for us. Me and my two babies! Playing with the girls and Diego This was the one and only time I got her in this outfit. She is growing fast! Riley loves to hold Bailey Last night we went to Pioneer Park to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday. The Birthday Boy and all the kids! |
